A family agricultural enterprise for five generations, this 130-acre property is among a cluster of historic salt farms that have earned treasured status along Buzzards Bay and the South Coast. The Trustees, in concert with our partner the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, has preserved Cornell for the community and general public.

Ideas for Your Visit

Wander past the fields (and watch for butterflies and multiple bird species) and enter a beautiful oak-holly forest. Look up to the sky and see a forest canopy dominated by oaks; underneath, the forest is full of American holly. Look beyond and you may even glimpse a deer at the woodland edge.
